Hi, I’m Abbey!

Hi! My name is Abbey and I’m from country Victoria. I moved to Adelaide two years ago with my partner, Silas. 

I like going to the movies, going to the gym, and Silas and I both love playing sports - especially tennis (although I'm not a very good match up for him!) and volleyball at the beach.

I have had a pretty varied career. I previously worked in childcare, and was a personal trainer at a gym, before moving into disability in 2022. I like to think that I can bring different experiences from my past into the work that I do now.

Working with Ethan is great. I mainly support him at home on a weekend, doing personal care, getting some cleaning done around his home and doing some of his ironing! I enjoy that it is a calm and friendly environment to work in, and Ethan is fun to be around. He's always cracking jokes, or we talk about sport a lot. 

I like learning more about Ethan, and also being able to have his Mum, Maureen, support me as I've been learning the ropes. It's really helpful having that extra pair of hands or knowing that if I need help there is always someone there.
